Dungeon Lords offers a rich palette of character choices, permitting the player to customise the adventure experience as suites his or her preferred playing style. While early on the choices are pretty simple (one or two of four simple classes), the options quickly multiple and even the most knowledgeable players are hard-pressed to determine which class combination offers the optimal benefits.
The DLPlanner application offers you the ability to interactively choose class combinations and explore the skill availability and more importantly the cumulative skill bonuses. The report also includes the attribute and skill requirements to reach each second or third tier class. You can then save this information to a text or HTML file for printing for reference during game play. There is also an interactive skill table to help you explore the possible combinations.
Note that the tool supports only Dungeon Lords v1.4 and v1.5 (CE). Additionally, the Shadow Lord class is only available in the CE though I've not added an interface element to restrict this option. There are some major differences between the current releases and previous generations of the game when it comes to skill sets.
DLPlanner is written using the .NET Framework 2.0. If you don't already have this installed, the installer will request that you permit it to be installed first. It's a 22M download from Microsoft which you can find here if you want to download it yourself.
